American Maritime Services NJ has purchased a vacant 11,500-square-foot boutique office building in Cranford for $2.45 million, according to a Friday announcement from Colliers which facilitated the deal.
Vice Chair Jacklene Chesler, Vice President Patrick Norris and Director Matthew Cohen of Colliers represented the seller throughout the sale process.
Located at 511 South Avenue East, in the heart of downtown Cranford, the two-story office building drew interest from numerous developers and investors and was ultimately purchased by a user.
“Our team has experienced an uptick in user interest in purchasing office buildings over the past few quarters,” Chesler said. “The marketing process for this property attracted strong demand, not just from local businesses, but also from regional developers and investors looking to capitalize on Cranford’s continued growth.”
Union County has seen a surge in commercial real estate activity, driven by strong population density and increasing demand for well-located suburban office space.
