Latino Veterans of New Jersey to Honor Women Service Members at Breakfast

The Latino Veterans of New Jersey, a non-profit organization founded last year, will host a “Sheroes” breakfast to honor the service of female Latino veterans.

The breakfast will take place on March 22 at 10:00 AM at the DoubleTree Hilton, located at 690 Route 46 in Fairfield. The event is free for female veterans and $25 for family members and supporters.

Registration is required and can be completed here: info@latinovetsnj.org.

“This event is a heartfelt tribute to the brave women who have served our nation with honor and distinction,” said Orlando Miranda, President of The Latino Veterans of New Jersey. “We invite the community to join us in celebrating their remarkable contributions during Womens History Month.”

Miranda is a military veteran who has served 28 years in the New Jersey Army National Guard and who also works as a management analyst at Picatinny Arsenal. Miranda said the “Sheroes” Breakfast is intended to shine a spotlight on the invaluable contributions of women who have served in the armed forces as well as foster community, celebrate achievements, and acknowledge the unique experiences of female veterans.

The Latino Veterans of New Jersey helps Latino veterans navigate benefit and entitlement programs, get access to health care and mental health services, and leverage educational and vocational opportunities. The organization also organizes community events, outreach programs, and social events to foster camaraderie among Latino veterans and the community.
