Englewood Health has appointed Malay S. Rao, MD, PharmD, as chief of radiation oncology at The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. Dr. Rao, a highly experienced radiation oncologist, specializes in treating a broad range of cancers, including those affecting the brain, breast, head and neck, lungs, prostate, spine, gastrointestinal tract, and genitourinary system. He also has expertise in lymphoma, myeloma, sarcoma, and cancer pain management.
Dr. Rao, a member of the Englewood Health Physician Network, will see patients at Englewood Radiation Oncology, located at 350 Engle Street in Englewood.

His experience further strengthens our team’s commitment to delivering the highest quality cancer care close to home.”
Dr. Rao earned his medical degree from Rutgers Health–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Rutgers Health–Ernesto Mario School of Pharmacy. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health–Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. In addition to English, he is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.

Dr. Rao succeeds Dr. David Dubin, who dedicated almost 35 years to serving the community as a radiation oncologist and chief of radiation oncology at Englewood Hospital.
