CS Energy and Calibrant Energy complete battery storage projects

CS Energy and Calibrant Energy have successfully completed three stand-alone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Westchester County, NY. Located in Hawthorne, Yorktown, and Ossining, the projects utilize Tesla’s MegaPack2XL technology, delivering 4.9 MW, 4.2 MW, and 4.3 MW, respectively. These installations will provide critical grid support during peak demand, enhancing the resilience of New York’s energy infrastructure.

Each site presented unique logistical challenges, requiring coordination with schools, churches, and local businesses. CS Energy’s expertise in project execution and collaboration with Tesla and local stakeholders ensured the seamless integration of these systems. The projects also incorporate advanced safety measures and utility communication for optimized energy management.

“CS Energy’s dedication to safety and operational excellence is unparalleled,” said John Schoeb, Head of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality at Calibrant Energy.

These installations further demonstrate Edison-based CS Energy’s leadership in the energy storage sector and commitment to strengthening the region’s power grid.
