Amazon One Medical has officially entered the New Jersey market, opening its first primary care office at Edgewater Towne Center. The expansion is part of a broader push to integrate hybrid virtual and in-person health care solutions, with two additional locations planned for the state this year in partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest health network.
The new facility offers same-day and next-day appointments, 24/7 virtual care, and a patient-centered approach designed to enhance accessibility and efficiency. Amazon One Medical members benefit from on-demand video consultations, streamlined prescription renewals, and digital access to medical records—all through an intuitive app.
“Members have been asking us to expand into New Jersey, and we are thrilled to provide in-person care alongside our virtual services,” said Dr. Evelyn Chu, District Medical Director for Amazon One Medical in New Jersey. “By partnering with Hackensack Meridian Health, we aim to make high-quality care more accessible and convenient for New Jersey residents.”
This collaboration strengthens Hackensack Meridian’s ability to reach patients who may not have an established primary care physician. “Many people lack a primary care provider, and this partnership offers a seamless solution, integrating Amazon One Medical’s technology-driven model with our extensive network of specialists and hospitals,” said Robert C. Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
Amazon One Medical operates on a membership-based model, available as an Amazon Prime benefit for $9 per month or $99 annually. The company also works with more than 10,000 employers nationwide that sponsor memberships as an employee health benefit. While digital services are included in the membership, Amazon One Medical accepts most major insurance plans for in-person visits and scheduled remote consultations.
With locations in more than 20 U.S. markets, Amazon One Medical’s expansion into New Jersey underscores the growing trend of technology-driven health care solutions aimed at improving patient experience and access to care.
