Valley Medical Group introduces pulmonary fibrosis support group

Valley Medical Group has launched a Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group to provide education, resources, and community support for individuals affected by pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and related lung conditions.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive disease that causes lung scarring, making breathing difficult. The support group—backed by the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and Valley Health System—is open to patients, caregivers, family members, and friends of those living with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), connective tissue disease-related interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD), hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP), and other fibrotic lung diseases.

“This group offers a welcoming space where individuals can learn about PF, explore treatment options, share personal experiences, and support one another,” said Emma Goebel, support group coordinator at Valley Medical Group.

Meetings are held quarterly in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions rotating across Valley Medical Group locations.
