SightLogix, a provider of intelligent outdoor security solutions, has introduced dual-spectrum artificial intelligence for its SightSensor product line, combining thermal and visible AI validation to improve real-time intrusion detection and minimize false alarms.
The new technology, designed for critical infrastructure and commercial applications, uses visible and thermal AI false alarm filtering to correlate detections from both video streams in real time. This “edge-based processing” provides accurate threat validation in various lighting and weather conditions, including darkness, fog, rain and extreme environments.
“Dual-spectrum AI significantly enhances security operations by distinguishing real threats from environmental noise, ensuring highly accurate detection and reliable alarms,” said Babak Shir, vice president of engineering at the Princeton-based SightLogix. “With the AI operating entirely within the camera, network bandwidth demand is reduced, eliminating the need for additional servers and lowering overall system costs.”
The dual-spectrum AI capability is available as a free firmware upgrade for existing SightSensor HD and SightSensor TC4 cameras, allowing seamless integration for commercial and critical security users.
