Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) marked its ninth annual Giving Day on March 27, rallying community support under the theme “Be All In.” The 24-hour fundraising event, organized by the RVCC Foundation, provided donors with a variety of ways to support students, programs, and initiatives at the college.
This year’s Giving Day featured the return of the match challenge, thanks to two major benefactors—Jim and Jill Gibson of Basking Ridge and The Caruso Family Foundation—who collectively pledged $50,000 in matching funds. The RVCC community successfully met the challenge, raising $50,000 to unlock the additional funds.
“We’ve never been more committed to this one-day tradition,” said Mike Marion, executive director of the RVCC Foundation and RVCC Alumni Association. “Our ‘Be All In’ theme was an invitation to everyone who cares about this college and its students to take part.”
Donors were able to contribute to various programs, including student clubs, RVCC athletics, the Student Resource Center and Food Pantry, the Pray Family Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement, the Honors College, the Workforce Training Center, and scholarship funds. Participants also had the option to designate their gifts to other areas of the college.
Last year, RVCC’s Giving Day raised $154,355 to support students and programs. The final fundraising total for 2025 has not yet been announced.
