Kathleen Coviello serves as the Chief Economic Transformation Officer at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), where she oversees strategic sector and economic growth initiatives, including corporate tax credit programs, clean energy and offshore wind products, innovation and venture products, and strategic innovation centers. Since joining NJEDA in 2005, Coviello has been instrumental in delivering more than $600 million in direct investments, business incentives, tax credits, and venture fund investments through the Edison Innovation Fund. Before her tenure at NJEDA, she spent more than 17 years in the banking industry, focusing on New Jersey’s technology venture lending market, with roles at Silicon Valley Bank, Comerica Bank, and Progress’ Techbanc. Her leadership has significantly impacted New Jersey’s economic landscape, mainly supporting entrepreneurs and fostering innovation.
