Alfa Demmellash is co-founder and CEO of Rising Tide Capital. For the past 20 years, she has empowered underserved entrepreneurs by providing the resources needed to build sustainable businesses. Since 2004, the non-profit’s Community Business Academy has trained more than 10,000 entrepreneurs across New Jersey and beyond, 70 percent being women and single mothers. Under her leadership, the program has achieved an 81-percent five-year business survival rate, far exceeding the national average. She also co-founded Future Tide Partners, an initiative aimed at equipping cross-sector leaders to shift capital, policy, and culture toward an inclusive, flourishing future economy. Through her work, Demmellash continues transforming communities and driving economic growth in New Jersey.
