Aiysha (AJ) Johnson is the executive director and CEO of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). Since taking the helm in 2023, she has focused on workforce development, mentorship, and increasing diversity in the industry. Previously, she led BKR International’s Americas Region, supporting accounting and advisory firms across the U.S. and beyond. Recently, she highlighted a proposal to offer an alternative pathway to CPA licensure, allowing candidates to substitute the additional 30 credit hours with two years of work experience. She also serves on the boards of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Community Foundation of New Jersey, and Executive Women of New Jersey. With a strategic vision for the industry, she is shaping the future of accounting and business leadership in the state.
