CarePlus NJ has expanded its Open Access Mental Health Walk-In Centers in Bergen and Essex counties to meet growing demand for immediate behavioral health and addiction services.
The nonprofit, based in Paramus, now offers same-day treatment access at two locations:
- 365 W. Passaic Ave., Suite 115 in Rochelle Park (9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday –Thursday.)
- 650 Bloomfield Ave., Suite 106 in Bloomfield (9 a.m.–1 p.m. Monday –Thursday.)
Adults, children and families can walk in or register online for evaluation, therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination services. The initiative targets individuals facing worsening mental health or substance use symptoms who might otherwise wait weeks for an appointment.
“The need for immediate, accessible mental health and addiction care has never been greater,” said Rebecca Oelkers, vice president of clinical services at CarePlus NJ. “We are removing barriers to care by providing same-day support and direct linkage to treatment.”
Founded in 1978, CarePlus NJ is one of the first Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers in the U.S. The organization serves nearly 14,000 individuals annually through more than 80 programs.
