Reese’s mini carrots at Walmart are top Easter treat in New York, New Jersey

The confection of choice at Easter in the New York and New Jersey region at Walmart last year were Reese’s Mini Carrots, according to state-by-state sales data from Walmart. The Reese’s treat is peanut butter-filled chocolates shaped like tiny carrots.

New York and New Jersey were two of 27 states where Reese’s Mini Carrots were the treat of choice. Reese’s candies were the top pick in 37 states. Besides the mini carrots, consumers selected Reese’s Eggs Snack Size.

While New York and New Jersey indulged in the chocolate carrots, other Northeast neighbors opted for other confections. Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont leaned toward the classic Cadbury Mini Eggs; in all 11 states opted for the Cadbury delicacy. Maryland and Washington, D.C., chose Brach’s Classic Jellybeans. Two outliers were Hawaii (Ring Pop 3ct) and Puerto Rico (Nutella Easter Basket Stuffer 1.05oz Jar).
