New Concepts for Living (NCFL) has reopened its renovated Rochelle Park Achievement Center, expanding its ability to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a second day program location.
The newly modernized center, originally opened in 1999, will support more independent, lower-need individuals with services such as life skills training, recreational activities, and community outings. It complements NCFL’s flagship 81,500-square-foot Achievement Center in Paramus, which serves higher-need and medically fragile clients.
“This reopening reflects our commitment to growing access to high-quality services for adults with I/DD,” said Steve Setteducati, CEO of New Concepts for Living. “The demand across the state is significant, and reopening Rochelle Park helps us meet more of that need.”
The Rochelle Park facility includes hands-on learning areas such as a laundry room, kitchen, and mock bedroom. Participants engage in weekly community integration outings, supported by trained direct support professionals.
NCFL works in coordination with the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities and aims to expand its day program capacity significantly over the next few years to help address a waitlist of more than 500 adults seeking services.
The Rochelle Park center will serve up to 75 individuals. NCFL also operates 18 residential homes across northern New Jersey, with plans to open four more this year, including a recently launched home for medically fragile adults in Hillsdale.
