As part of its ongoing “Soaring Valor” program, the Gary Sinise Foundation is hosting an all-expense paid trip for World War II veterans to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans from April 29 to May 2.
World War II veterans who wish to attend must travel with a guardian and all guardians must have a personal connection to their veteran.
The trips will include a tour of the museum, entertainment, celebratory dinners and community building activities with fellow veterans.
There are about 500,000 World War II veterans still alive; however, on average, 294 pass away each day.
The Gary Sinise Foundation, founded by the actor in 2011, supports World War II veterans in many ways including the Soaring Valor program which organizes trips to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans.
These trips allow veterans to share their stories with younger generations and experience the museum built in their honor.
