Casio America Inc. welcomes Paul Sangillo as senior general manager of legal affairs

Casio America, Inc. appointed Paul Sangillo as senior general manager of legal affairs, effective April 7. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate and real estate law — as well as extensive in-house compliance leadership — Sangillo will oversee Casio’s legal strategy and risk management efforts across its U.S. operations.

Sangillo joins Casio from Innovative Cosmetic Concepts, where he served as vice president of legal affairs. He previously held senior positions at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader and has advised a range of public entities, including the New Jersey General Assembly Majority Office and the Newark Housing Authority. Notably, he served as lead counsel for the public entities involved in the development of the $350 million Prudential Center in Newark.

“I am delighted to join Casio. The company has a long history of success and innovation. This is a team that I am proud to be a part of,” said Sangillo.

“We are thrilled to welcome Paul to Casio’s leadership team,” said Takanori Kato, vice president of administration at Casio America Inc. “His legal expertise, business acumen and collaborative approach will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our operations and uphold our commitment to integrity and innovation.”

A graduate of Columbia University School of Law, Sangillo is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York. Over the past decade, he has worked closely with corporate stakeholders to align legal strategies with business goals, with current focus areas including contract management, compliance and cybersecurity.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Sangillo serves on the New Jersey Advisory Council for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and is passionate about giving back to the community through education and mentorship. He is also the author of “The Golden Prison,” a legal thriller that has won multiple independent book awards.

In his new role, Sangillo will be based at Casio America, Inc.’s Dover, N.J., office.
