Health and Wellness with HBOT expands in N.J. with Paramus location

Health and Wellness with HBOT, a Spring Valley, N.Y.-based wellness center owned and operated by a mother-daughter team, will hold an opening event for their newest location in Paramus, its first foray into New Jersey.

The event will be held May 2 at the center’s new location at 175 Route 4 West in Paramus from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dr. Liliana Lopez, DNP, and Leslie Lopez founded Health and Wellness with HBOT focusing on improving people’s lives through health and wellness. HBOT stands for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which is among the services they offer; others include red light therapy, compression therapy, IV therapy, and other treatments.

Liliana Lopez founded En Su Casa Primary Health Care to provide healthcare to her community. Her daughter Leslie, an actress and entrepreneur, became involved in the healthcare field following her own experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). The company was founded in 2022 and has 11 employees.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a noninvasive medical treatment that raises your body’s oxygen levels. It treats medical episodes such as carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness, and slow-healing wounds. The Food and Drug Administration has approved HBOT for treating these conditions.

The process involves sitting in a hyperbaric chamber and breathing. This allows your lungs to take in more oxygen, thus boosting circulating oxygen in the bloodstream.

HBOT is increasingly found in wellness clinics, sports facilities, and even private homes.Â
