JAG Physical Therapy opens facility in Nutley, adding to New Jersey expansion

JAG Physical Therapy, a fast-growing physical and occupational therapy practice, opened a facility in Nutley, its ninth location in Essex County, as it extends its expansion in New Jersey. The latest clinic opened at 155 Franklin Ave., Unit 1L, Nutley.

JAG provides rehabilitative care to patients and sports teams in more than 160 locations in the Northeast. The clinic has facilities in 20 New Jersey counties.

Like almost all other New Jersey counties, Essex is growing. The county has more than 851,000 residents and is the third-most populous in the state. JAG’s expansion comes as more and more young people participate in school sports and older citizens engage in sports activity because of its health advantages.

The Nutley facility is supervised by Clinical Director Dr. Gilberto Pereirinha, who received his bachelor of science in psychology from Seton Hall University and his doctorate in physical therapy from Touro University in New York City. He worked alongside soccer teams like Cedar Stars Academy and Ironbound SC.

JAG offers personalized treatment plans such as cupping therapy, concussion treatment and spine rehabilitation. Patients who visit the Nutley facility do not need a referral from a doctor to begin physical therapy treatment and can work with a therapist for up to 30 days before needing a referral to continue services. Â
