Hudson Regional Hospital has announced two key leadership appointments as part of its ongoing commitment to revitalizing health-care services across Hudson County. Paige Dworak, FACHE, has joined as system chief operating officer, and Dr. Michael L. Hochberg has been named chief hospital executive for Bayonne Medical Center.
“These appointments are part of our long-term strategy to rebuild and reimagine care across Hudson County,” said Dr. Nizar Kifaieh, CEO of Hudson Regional Hospital. “With Paige and Dr. Hochberg’s leadership, we are confident that our hospitals will become models of quality, innovation and patient-centered care.”
“From the moment we assumed leadership of Hudson Regional Hospital in 2018, we’ve been driven by a clear vision to transform health care in Hudson County,” said Yan Moshe, chairman of Hudson Regional Hospital. “Through persistence and a steadfast commitment to that vision, we are now delivering a preeminent health-care solution for the region.”
Paige Dworak brings more than two decades of health-care leadership experience to her role as System chief operating officer. She most recently served as president and CEO of CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange, where she led significant improvements in hospital operations and community health outcomes.
Before that, she held senior leadership roles at nationally recognized institutions including the Cleveland Clinic, Trinity Health and The Greater New York Hospital Association. In her new position, Dworak will oversee the operations of Hudson Regional Health’s hospital network — including Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital in Jersey City — with a focus on streamlining services, enhancing clinical performance and ensuring a consistent, patient-centered approach across all facilities. She holds a bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University, an MBA from Montclair State University, is Six Sigma Certified and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
With his appointment as chief hospital executive of Bayonne Medical Center, Dr. Dr. Michael L. Hochberg brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and executive leadership to his new role.
Dr. Hochberg previously served as corporate chief quality officer and associate chief medical officer at Steward Health Care, where he led initiatives focused on patient safety and clinical integration. His past leadership experience also includes roles as senior executive vice president and chief clinical officer at JPS Health Network in Texas and chief operations and integration officer at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System.
In his new role at Bayonne, Dr. Hochberg will lead efforts to enhance care delivery, improve operational efficiency and drive a culture of clinical excellence. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo, completed his residency in emergency medicine at Jacobi Medical Center and holds an undergraduate degree from Pace University, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Liberal Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
These appointments align with Hudson Regional’s mission to transform local hospitals into state-of-the-art facilities that provide high-quality, accessible health care to the communities they serve.
