Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah unveils multimillion-dollar renovation

The Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah, a family-owned hotel operating in the Hudson Valley community for more than 25 years, has completed a multimillion-dollar capital improvement project.

The property is owned by the Goldstein family through their development firm, Lynmark Group, which believes in long-term community investment.

The renovation includes 229 updated guest rooms featuring mini-fridges, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, upgraded bedding, and high-speed wireless internet. Public spaces were also redesigned, including the hotel’s open-concept atrium and 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 600 guests. The Montebello Ballroom, the hotel’s centerpiece for celebrations and corporate events, was redone with a modern aesthetic in collaboration with Karen Dallago of Dallago Associates.

The Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah also includes an on-site ethnic kitchen that supports culturally specific menus, including kosher-style catering.

“Over the past two decades, we’ve seen the hospitality landscape in this region change dramatically,” said Joshua Goldstein, developer and owner of Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah and principal at Lynmark Group. “This renovation was about more than staying competitive. It was about strengthening our commitment to the community, continuing to lead regional hospitality, and building on our legacy.”

The Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah is a 10-minute drive from Mahwah and serves northern New Jersey towns such as Park Ridge, Saddle River, and Ramsey, as well as the Hudson Valley area.
