Amalfe, Gibbons attorney, to be next N.J. Bar Association president

Christine A. Amalfe, chair of the Employment & Labor Law Group of Gibbons P.C., will be sworn in as president of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the state’s largest association of judges, lawyers, and legal professionals, during the the group’s annual meeting and convention, May 14-16, in Atlantic City.

As president, Amalfe will play a key role in advancing the NJSBA’s mission to advocate for the legal profession, promote access to justice, and support the independence and integrity of the judicial branch.  

Amalfe has served the association as an executive committee member of the labor and employment law section and a trustee of the women in the profession section, among her other roles at NJSBA.

At Gibbons, Amalfe represents corporations in the areas of employment law and litigation, while managing a team of more than 20 lawyers and overseeing legal, administrative, and business development functions.  

Amalfe is an advocate for women in the legal profession throughout her career and co-founded the internationally recognized Gibbons Women’s Initiative, has served as president of the National Association of Women Lawyers Foundation, and is a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.
