Bill Flagg, a board director of Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity, was recently recognized by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and Realtor.com with a Fair Housing Champion Award during NAR’s Fair Housing Month event, “Fair Housing Forward.”
Honorees received recognition for their efforts to advance fair housing and expand homeownership in their communities.
“Being honored as a 2025 NAR Fair Housing Champion Award winner means that I stand for more than sales — I stand for justice in housing,” said Bill Flagg, realtor emeritus/broker associate, ERA Queen City Realty. “Partnering with Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity lets me turn advocacy into action, one home at a time.” Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization, Habitat for Humanity International.
With the Fair Housing Champion Award, realtors are recognized for their support of buyers and communities, advocating for accessible and affordable housing opportunities, and promoting consumer and fair housing education. The award provides a $5,000 prize that Flagg donated to GMM Habitat.
“Ensuring that every individual has a fair opportunity to achieve homeownership is fundamental to our mission,” said NAR President Kevin Sears.
NAR and Realtor.com said “Flagg has led impactful initiatives to address housing inequities, including introducing the first successful Homeownership Fair in Newark in partnership with Metropolitan Baptist Church. The event, attended by over 300 community members, provided l education on renting versus buying, credit repair, and down payment assistance.”
