Architecture firm Studio 1200 elevates Burke and Gasbarro

Architecture and design firm Studio 1200 Monday said it has promoted Kate Burke to senior associate, studio director, heading up its commercial studio. The firm has also elevated Marissa Gasbarro to associate.

Burke is credited with spearheading the construction of Freshpet’s new corporate headquarters, the first building of the master plan for Bedminster Village Square on Route 206 in Bedminster. She has also led the design and implementation of several new Millburn Deli locations, the multi-phase exterior and interior renovation of the Wayne Public Library, and oversees educational and law firm projects.

“Kate has earned the respect of our clients and consistently led our internal teams to deliver projects on time and on budget,” said Sandee Markwith, founding principal at Studio 1200. “Kate has upheld our standards for excellence and the studio is thriving under her leadership.”

The firm said Gasbarro has been instrumental in its JESPY Center project, and also closely involved in the addition for the Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter, and the Feasibility Study for the Featherstone Center for the Arts.

“Marissa’s attention to detail and her ability to keep multiple complicated projects organized at the same time is a game changer in the studio,” says Nancy Dougherty, managing principal at Studio 1200.
