Children with special needs, veterans and military families can ‘play hook-e’ on Aug. 23

Lake Juliana at the Ponderosa Estates Farm in Millstone Township will be the site of the ninth annual “Play Hook-e” day on August 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

One of New Jersey’s most unique outdoor sporting events, “Play Hook-e” opens the waters of Lake Juliana to children with special needs and to veterans, active-duty military and their families for a day of fishing. 

The day also offers hayrides, farm animals, and a free hot dog and hamburger barbeque as well as a pizza truck. Free rigs and bait also included.
