Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) welcomed Jenny Chung Quraishi back to the firm.
Quraishi, a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, rejoins CSG Law after serving as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey. There, she investigated and tried cases in the areas of health-care fraud, opioid abuse prevention, narcotics and violent crimes. Quraishi draws on her valuable experience at the U.S. attorney’s office, working with clients to obtain the best results pretrial and, when that is not possible, at trial.
“It is an honor to return to my roots at CSG Law after my time in government service,” she said. “The firm offered me the perfect platform to do the work I want to focus on now that I am back in private practice. And I am also looking forward to working with my old friends, mentors and colleagues once again.”
Quraishi is an esteemed litigator whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations and complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on class action defense matters. She represents individuals and corporations in sensitive matters and regularly appears in federal, state and local courts. She is also a valued member of CSG Law’s Cannabis Law Group and has represented applicant groups on the path to medicinal and personal use cannabis licensure.
“Jenny Chung Quraishi is a wonderful addition to the already deep bench of attorneys in our Litigation Group,” said Jeffrey S. Chiesa, co-chair of the executive committee. “Her insight and judgment, along with her blend of public and private experience, are a perfect fit for the clients we serve at CSG Law.”
“Jenny is a remarkable talent, and we are glad she has rejoined the firm,” said Frank J. Giantomasi, co-chair of the executive committee. “Jenny’s experience and understanding will further expand the services available to help clients resolve high-stakes and high-profile litigation matters.”
“I hope to continue my representation in the white collar and government investigations space while also adding a focus on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on class action defense and patent litigation matters,” said Quraishi.
Before her time at the Department of Justice, Quraishi served as counsel and as an associate in CSG Law’s Litigation Group. Before that, she was an associate at a prominent New Jersey law firm. Quraishi also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael A. Hammer, U.S.M.J., in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
She is a member and a past president of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ). She is also a trustee for the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Quraishi earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as a notes and comments editor of the Brooklyn Law Review, and she achieved her B.A. in English from Boston University.
