Keepers, a new culinary destination in the trendy Riverbend District of Harrison, is now open. Located in the street-level retail space of The Wyldes, a new luxury rental property, the restaurant is the result of a collaboration between Episcope Hospitality and Advance Realty Investors.
The eatery is located across the street from the Sports Illustrated Stadium, home of professional soccer team the New York Red Bulls and is three-tenths of a mile from the PATH station. It is pitching itself as an all-day neighborhood hub for locals and visitors to dine, sip, celebrate, and unwind. The menu showcases its take on American comfort food, such as a hot honey chicken sandwich, steak frites, soft pretzel bites, and a classic wedge salad, complemented by craft cocktails and a curated list of beer and wine.
In the mornings, Keepers’ retro coffee window serves as a go-to stop for locals, pouring espresso, signature iced teas, and other favorites.
The space includes a gorgeous bar, inviting dining room, and a private event space fit for up to 50 guests. The name is both an homage to the goalkeeper and a reminder of something (or someone) worth holding onto.
Led by David Morton of the Morton’s Steakhouse family, Episcope Hospitality has created restaurants in New York City, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, and elsewhere.
The opening of Keepers is part of Advance Realty Investors’ broader vision for the 35-acre Riverbend District, which also includes Steel Works and Cobalt Lofts. Developed by Advance, designed by MHS Architecture, and built by March Associates Construction, The Wyldes offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments 10 miles from New York City. According to a study published in March from Point2Homes using U.S. Census data, Harrison was among 20 towns in the country with the highest percentage of renters at 81.1% of all households.
“Keepers represents the next step in our vision to make the Riverbend District a true destination for both residents and visitors,” said Dan Cocoziello, principal and chief operating officer of Advance Realty Investors.
