JAG Physical Therapy partners with The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI

JAG Physical Therapy, a physical and occupational therapy practice, announced a partnership with The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI to become the club’s official physical therapy provider.

This partnership between the indoor pickleball franchise and a physical therapy provider to patients and sports teams in more than 165 locations across the Northeast will help ensure that pickleball players of all skill levels have access to the education and resources needed to stay healthy. The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI is located at 205 Route 72 West in Manahawkin.

As part of the partnership, JAG Physical Therapy will receive naming rights to The Picklr’s performance room located in the facility and will maintain a presence at club events throughout the year, including the Star Spangled Paddle Tournament on July 10-11 and the LBI Pickleball By The Beach Tournament from August 1-3.

JAG Physical Therapy will also collaborate on social media posts with The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI to provide injury prevention, pickleball tips and more. This coincides with the upcoming release of a pickleball injury prevention book by JAG Physical Therapy’s President and CEO John Gallucci Jr., publishing this summer.

Pickleball has supplanted tennis in many adult communities in the United States. The sport  trend is not without injuries, which have surged among players aged 50 and older since 2020. Some of the frequent injuries associated with pickleball are ankle sprains, tennis elbow, rotator cuff strains, Achilles tendon injuries, and fractures.
