Dime Bank breaks ground on first New Jersey branch in Lakewood

Dime Community Bank, founded in 1864 with roots in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, officially broke ground on its first New Jersey branch on June 23, located at the 500 Boulevard of the Americas building in Lakewood.

The event was attended by Dime Bank’s executive leadership, the development team, and representatives from One Real Estate, which manages leasing at 500 Boulevard.

“Today is more than a groundbreaking, it’s the start of a vision,” said Stuart Lubow, the president of the bank. “We’re excited to bring our trusted services to Lakewood and become part of this dynamic community.”

The Dime Bank’s expansion into New Jersey reflects both the area’s ongoing growth and the bank’s long-term strategy to serve high-opportunity markets. With more than 135,000 residents, Lakewood is the fifth-largest city in New Jersey.

500 Boulevard is a newly developed six-story Class-A glass office building that has access to the Garden State Parkway. The Dime Bank said the building has become a hub for professional and financial services in Ocean County.

Construction for the Dime Bank branch is set to begin immediately, with an anticipated opening in early 2026.
