Corza Medical, one of the world’s largest medical technology companies with facilities in Parsippany, this month announced the launch of its expanded line of Onatec ophthalmic sutures. This expansion of its product offerings makes it easier for surgeons around the world to find the right Onatec suture solution for their ophthalmic procedures.
There are about 130 products in the suture portfolio intended for ophthalmological and oculoplastic surgery, and include a complete range of absorbable and non-absorbable sutures. Corza Medical said these additions enhance the company’s position as a partner involved in ophthalmological innovation, offering solutions tailored to the evolving needs of surgeons worldwide.
The company added that in addition to its line of suture products, there are its Onatec needles, made from premium and highly hardened stainless steel. Each needle offers flexural and breaking strength. Corza Medical said, “rigorous, automated manufacturing ensures optimal needle geometry and precise grinding, making it easy to suture even the most delicate tissues. Used together, the suture and needle provide a better tactile feel and control with each stroke, which is essential for sensitive ophthalmological procedures.”
Jack Simmons, president of Corza Medical’s medical device division, said, “Our ophthalmic sutures, instruments, meatic plugs, devices and biologics set standards for precision and craftsmanship. With this expansion of Onatec ophthalmic suture devices, Corza Medical continues to take the lead in offering solutions that meet the needs of surgical procedures.”
