Partnership with Northeast College creates path to chiropractic, nutrition degrees for Stockton students

A new partnership between Stockton University and Northeast College of Health Sciences in  Seneca Falls, N.Y., will give opportunities to Stockton students interested in pursuing a career as a chiropractor or in nutrition science.

The agreement offers ways for Stockton students to save time and money by completing a health-related bachelor’s degree at Stockton and then enrolling in Northeast’s doctor of chiropractic or master of science in applied clinical nutrition programs.

“This partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences exemplifies Stockton University’s commitment to providing our students with innovative, affordable pathways to rewarding careers in health care,” said Michael Palladino, Stockton’s provost and vice president for Academic Affairs.

“By streamlining the journey to a doctor of chiropractic and a master’s in applied clinical nutrition, we are empowering our students to achieve their academic and professional goals more efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.”

Options allow students to complete their Stockton undergraduate degree requirements in three or four years and finish their advanced degree at Northeast. Also, Stockton students accepted into Northeast’s chiropractic program with a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.5 can receive a $2,000 merit scholarship, while those with a 3.5 GPA or higher can receive $3,000.

“This new partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences provides an exciting opportunity for our students to advance their education and achieve their professional goals as future health care providers,” said Kerri Sowers, Stockton University professor of Health Science.

“In addition to the graduate program for the doctor of chiropractic degree, our students will also have the option to pursue the online master’s in applied clinical nutrition degree. Both graduate degree options provide unique opportunities for our students to become health care providers in their chosen profession.”

Northeast College of Health Sciences is one of only 18 institutions in the United States accredited as a chiropractic college by the Council on Chiropractic Education.

“Collaborations with colleges and universities play a vital role in Northeast College’s mission to expand access to graduate education,” said Northeast College President Dr. Michael Mestan. “We’re excited to partner with Stockton University to create these new pathways for students eager to transform lives and look forward to welcoming them to campus.”
