Shingler-Nace named chief nursing officer by Cooper University Health Care

Cooper University Health Care said July 23 that the academic health system affiliated with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University appointed Dr. Autum Shingler-Nace as chief nursing officer for Cooper University Hospital. 

In this role, Shingler-Nace will continue to oversee perioperative and procedural operations and will now lead the advancement of professional nursing practice and excellence in patient care, reporting to Kathy Devine, senior vice president and chief nursing executive.

Shingler-Nace joined Cooper in October 2023 as vice president of perioperative and procedural operations. She has worked closely with physician, nursing, and executive leaders to enhance operational growth, efficiency, and strategic planning as well as develop the Cooper Surgery Center at Moorestown.

She has nearly 20 years of health-care experience in hospital and ambulatory environments in academic and community sectors. Shingler-Nace has also held leadership positions at Thomas Jefferson University Health in Philadelphia and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 

Cooper University Health Care is an academic health system affiliated with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Camden-based Cooper operates MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper as well as three hospitals – its 663-bed flagship Cooper University Hospital in Camden, its 229-bed Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional in Cape May Courthouse, and Children’s Regional Hospital also in Camden.
