Spencer Savings Bank appoints Plinio to lead home finance team

Spencer Savings Bank, an Elmwood Park-based community bank, said July 29 that Ken Plinio has been promoted to senior vice president, home-finance director.

In this new role, Plinio will lead the bank’s home-finance team that delivers mortgage and home-equity financing solutions to customers throughout New Jersey. He will continue to lead the bank’s growth strategy for this line of business. 

“We are pleased to have Ken leading our home finance team. He has a strong background in the mortgage lending industry and excels at building strong relationships,” said Michael Claisse, executive vice president and chief lending officer. 

Plinio brings almost 35 years of mortgage banking experience to this role. Throughout his career he has held a variety of leadership positions at various financial institutions such as Unity Bank, Met Life, Bank of America, and Weichert Financial Services. 

Spencer Savings Bank, 130 years old, has about $4 billion in total assets and operates 27 financial centers throughout New Jersey.
