On July 26, the Military Support Alliance of New Jersey (MSA-NJ), with the support of the Craig Newmark New York Tri-State Chapter of Blue Star Families and the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Spouses Organization hosted a Saturday Summer Fest for military families at Johnsons Corner Farm in Medford.
Thanks to the generosity of Johnson’s Corner Farm, more than 100 military family members were treated to hayrides, a huge playground, the farm’s Discovery Zone, and its petting zoo. There was also face painting by Antsy the Clown (aka Nancy DeVito, a volunteer for MSA-NJ).
The families were also treated to a complimentary lunch and ice cream, and the children got to take home games and toys of their choice – making it a true “Christmas in July.”
MSA-NJ is an Outpost organization of Blue Star Families. As such, Blue Star Families provides funding and resources to select MSA-NJ activities aimed at improving the quality of life for the men and women at the Joint Base.
