Jersey City’s first dedicated indoor Pickleball facility coming to Twin City Shopping Center

PB Club is bringing the first dedicated indoor pickleball facility to Jersey City, expanding regional access to the nation’s fastest-growing sport. The 8,350-square-foot club will join the tenant mix at Twin City Shopping Center, a 95,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored property at the intersection of Garfield Avenue/Broadway and 53rd Street.

The announcement underscores the staggering interest in the sport – a hybrid of tennis, table tennis and badminton – that is attracting players of all ages and skill levels. According to the pickleheads.com website, an estimated 19.8 million people participated in pickleball in 2024, a 45.8% increase from the previous year. There are more than 68,000 courts in the United States. PB Club is the first facility in Jersey City designed exclusively for pickleball.

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as leasing and managing agent for Twin City Shopping Center. Nicole Anderocci, LMC leasing representative, arranged the lease on behalf of the property ownership.

PB Club is owned and operated by Ari Saposh and his wife, Naomi. The facility will feature three pro-style indoor courts. On-site amenities include a water station, vending and grab-and-go snack options, paddle racks and stools, and a lounge area with co-working space.

“Our co-working space allows people who work remotely to utilize our private, sound-proof area while meeting others with a shared interest in pickleball,” said Ari Saposh. “Jersey City is the anchor of Hudson County. PB Club is a new opportunity in the community for those who enjoy the sport, and we are excited to give residents the chance to play year-round in a brand-new climate-controlled facility.”

The Saposhs plan to open three PB Club facilities in Hudson County over the next 18 months.

“PB Club brings an exciting new energy to Twin City Shopping Center, and we’re proud to be part of its launch in Jersey City,” said Anderocci. “This lease reflects our commitment to curating tenant mixes that evolve beyond traditional retail to include recreation and community engagement. As Jersey City’s first dedicated indoor pickleball facility, PB Club not only diversifies our offerings but also enhances the area’s recreational landscape.”

The center’s location on the Jersey City/Bayonne border – just off Exit 14A of the New Jersey Turnpike – contributes to its appeal. Twin City Shopping Center serves a growing residential population of more than 187,000 people within a 3-mile radius.

PB Club will join a tenant lineup that includes Aqui Market, Retro Fitness, children’s play concept Catch Air, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Dunkin’ and the newly opened Sakura Teriyaki.

North Plainfield-based LMC is now in its eighth decade as a commercial real estate services provider. The firm manages a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of 125 properties totaling more than 16 million square feet spanning the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
