Private Advisor Group’s affiliate merges with Freedom Financial Team

Private Advisor Group, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent wealth management firms based in Morristown, has announced that its affiliate, Artemis Wealth Advisors, co-led by Andrew Wilson and Cameron Staley, has merged with Adam Weiner’s Freedom Financial Team.

Effective Sept. 1, the merger of these Troy, Michigan-based firms adds Weiner’s $70+ million in assets under management, increasing Artemis’ total assets under management by over 20% to $386 million.

“We’ve watched Adam grow his practice aggressively over the past several years, and in conversations with him, it quickly became clear that we shared a vision for the future,” said Staley, co-founder and managing partner at Artemis. “Merging our firms allows us to combine strengths, accelerate growth and deliver even greater value for our clients.”

The Artemis team first connected with Weiner in 2017 during his tenure as a wholesaler, building a friendship rooted in mutual respect. A 14-year Navy SEAL veteran, Weiner brings a service-driven approach and operational discipline to his work in financial services. Since founding Freedom Financial Team in 2022, he has grown its AUM by more than 40% and sees an opportunity to continue this pace through the partnership with Artemis.

“We have such strong alignment on critical elements — from our personalized client service approach to our aspirations for the business — which gives me great confidence in this partnership,” said Weiner. “And, as a newer entrant to the space, this move is a tremendous value add for my clients as I tap into Artemis’ decades of collective expertise in portfolio management and financial planning.”

The combined team will continue to operate under the Artemis Wealth Advisors brand and serve clients from Artemis’ existing office. As part of the transition, Weiner assumes the role of managing partner, and his colleague Faith Ferguson joins Artemis as director of operations, rounding out the team of six alongside fellow co-founders and managing partners John Ursu and Christopher Dzinklinski.
