NJBIA Hosts 11th Annual Women Business Leaders Forum

The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) hosted the 11th Annual Women Business Leaders Forum, powered by Citizens, on Sept. 17, convening leaders from across sectors to promote women’s advancement and greater diversity in business leadership. 

“I’m really excited about our ability to celebrate the amazing female leadership here in the great state of New Jersey,” said NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka, Esq. 

Day one featured 10 breakout sessions with panel discussions, multiple networking receptions, a C-suite panel, a fireside chat, a TED-style talk and an awards ceremony. 

Among the honors presented was the Rising Star Award, which recognizes undergraduate students who demonstrate academic achievement, enthusiasm for their chosen career, and commitment to their communities. The 2025 honorees are: 

  • Alicia Brownstein, Paramus
  • Melissa De Cunto, Hopatcong
  • Laasya Kandakurti, Belle Mead
  • Zeynep Nalan Kus, Clifton
  • Alusha Olivier, Irvington

Day two of the WBLF will continue with additional breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and TED-style talks. The event will conclude with the keynote program “Women Leaders Series: Being More Impactful and Thriving as a Business Leader,” presented by Emily Lampkin, founder of Women Leaders Series.
