With the state’s jobless rate reaching 5% and job creation in New Jersey slowing, Hackensack Meridian Health is offering job opportunities at one of the largest employers in the state.
The health care system will hold a hiring event at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to fill almost 3,000 open positions.
Hackensack Meridian Health calls the event “Draft Day 2025” and it is an opportunity for prospective employees to connect with recruiters and hiring managers from the organization’s network of 18 hospitals and 500 patient care locations across New Jersey. There are 2,800 jobs available with the health care organization.
“Hackensack Meridian Health is not only one of New Jersey’s largest employers, but considered one of the nation’s best,” said Linda McHugh, Hackensack Meridian executive vice president, and chief experience and people officer. “We are so proud of our team members, and excited to grow our team.”
In April, Hackensack Meridian Health was recognized as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2025 by Great Place To Work by Fortune magazine for the first time.
At this event, job seekers will:
- Explore a wide range of roles from nursing and clinical care to housekeeping, food services and much more.
- Meet directly with our hiring managers and team leaders across the company.
- Learn about our innovative programs and commitment to community health.
- Discover how they can make a meaningful impact as part of the HMH family every day.
“People who choose to work in health care, do so with a great deal of compassion and love for their community,” said Regina Foley, Hackensack Meridian Health president of specialty hospitals, clinical services and chief nurse executive. “Hackensack Meridian Health is a place where employees can grow and advance, with a wide array of opportunities throughout our vast network. We can’t wait to draft our newest teammates.”
