Schmidt receives NJBankers Warren Hill Award

Larry C. Schmidt, president and chief executive officer of 1st Bank of Sea Isle City, received the New Jersey Bankers Association’s 2025 Warren Hill Award during the group’s recent Banking on the Future Conference at The Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City.

The award is presented to current or former NJBankers committee members who go above and beyond to meet the mission of the committees on which they serve.

Schmidt has been a member of NJBankers Audit Committee since 2012 and has chaired the committee since 2016. The committee provides oversight to the association and its subsidiaries.

“Larry has dedicated countless hours to the association and committee to ensure that our financial reporting is complete and accurate,” said NJBankers President and CEO Michael Affuso during the award presentation. “As a result, the board of directors and the membership can rest assured that with Larry at the helm of the Committee, NJBankers is on a sound financial footing.”

Schmidt has served as president and CEO of 1st Bank of Sea Isle City since 1999. Before that, he served as the chief financial officer and controller at First Bank of Sea Isle City and First Savings & Loan Association, respectively.

In addition to serving on NJBankers Audit Committee, he has served on the board of directors, executive board and Charitable Foundation Trustees.

The New Jersey Bankers Association founded more than 120 years ago and is a trade association representing 63 banks and 200 service providers.
