Orka Bar, the high-protein frozen novelty redefining indulgence and functional nutrition created in Asbury Park, will appear on ABC’s Shark Tank on Oct. 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and stream the next day on Hulu.
The makers of Orka Bar believe they are on a mission to change the way people snack by combining indulgence with a high-protein option.

Founded by Stephen Longo, a certified nutrition coach and lifelong athlete, Orka Bar was created out of personal adversity and a mission to help others live better through food. After struggling with an unhealthy relationship with eating, Longo realized that what holds people back isn’t willpower — it’s the daily decision-making around food and staying on track, yet still enjoying what you eat. That insight inspired him to create something indulgent, properly portioned and good for you.
Orka Bars are a cold, creamy, protein-packed twist on a nostalgic treat. Each bar delivers 15g of protein, with low sugar, low carbs, and gluten-free goodness in flavors like cookies & cream, vanilla bean, raspberry and mint. Designed for athletes, parents, and everyday snackers, Orka Bars support active lifestyles without compromise.
“I created Orka Bar because I wanted to prove you don’t have to compromise between taste and health,” said Longo. “We’re here to bring balance back to the freezer aisle.”
The brand name is derived from the Icelandic word meaning energy and from the Orca whale, recognized by indigenous peoples as a symbol of strength and longevity.
The brand has already gained traction, winning state grants and local pitch competitions, growing its direct-to-consumer business with national fulfillment, and achieving strong customer reorder rates.
With its Shark Tank debut, Orka Bar is preparing to take the leap from an emerging startup to a national brand.
