A commercial property in Hackettstown has sold for $1.45 million in a deal brokered by Sheldon Gross Realty Vice President Eric Weston, who represented the unnamed buyer.
The property is at 289 Main St. in the heart of a bustling business district. The 1.5-acre property features a 14,000-square-foot building – complete with warehouse space – which the new owner is using for his distribution and online vehicle sales businesses. The site also has a mechanics shop, a dance studio and a church, each of which is being operated by an existing tenant.
“This property was a unique opportunity,” Weston says. “In addition to offering the sizable warehouse space my client needed, it provided multiple current tenants – and all right in the middle of town.”
One of Warren County’s most populous communities, Hackettstown is home to Centenary University, a medical center, and the corporate headquarters of confectionery, snacking, food and pet care products company Mars Inc.
Only four miles from Route 80, Hackettstown is less than 60 miles from Midtown Manhattan, less than 80 miles from Center City Philadelphia, and a 40-mile drive from Bethlehem, Allentown and the Lehigh Valley.
