The KearnyBank Foundation announced that Verona resident Taryn Rockwell has been appointed as its executive director and will be responsible for oversight of operations.
Based at Kearny Bank’s corporate offices in Fairfield, the KearnyBank Foundation is focused on improving lives through financial grants and the efforts of employee volunteers.
Rockwell joined Kearny Bank in 2013 and most recently served as shareholder relations liaison.
“Taryn has played a key role with the foundation since it was established in 2015,” says Kearny Bank President and CEO Craig Montanaro. “Her efforts have helped it consistently fulfill its mission, year after year. I’m confident that with her as its executive director, the foundation will be even more effective in helping people in communities where we have the privilege of conducting business.”
The KearnyBank Foundation has awarded more than $3.8 million in grants to non-profit organizations since 2020. Recipients include Junior Achievement of New Jersey, Chilton Medical Center, the African American Chamber of Commerce, Table to Table, and many others. The foundation’s emphasis is on education, housing, community betterment and quality of life.
Kearny Bank was established back in 1884 and operates from corporate offices in Fairfield.
