Law firm Frier Levitt names Partner Mayer as general counsel

Frier Levitt, a national boutique law firm focused on health care and life sciences, said Partner Christopher S. Mayer has been appointed general counsel of the firm. In addition to this new role, Mayer will continue to serve as chair of the firm’s employment law practice group.

As general counsel, Mayer will oversee the firm’s internal legal affairs, including risk management, ethics and compliance, employment matters, and professional responsibility.

Mayer has built a national practice handling complex employment and labor matters for companies ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 organizations. He provides strategic counsel on high-stakes disputes, regulatory compliance, workplace investigations and executive compensation issues.

Mayer also serves as counsel to the Home Care & Hospice Association of New Jersey and routinely represents hospitals, physician practices, home-care agencies, and other health-care providers in agency investigations and employment-related litigation.
