TD Bank shuttering eight New Jersey branches early in 2026

TD Bank, the largest bank in New Jersey by branch number, plans to prune eight of those branches in 2026 as part of a 13-state effort to pare its branch network.

The bank, which moved to Mount Laurel from Cherry Hill in September, is responding to customer preferences as people opt for digital banking and online and mobile banking options.

The eight branches in New Jersey are expected to permanently close early next year.

A TD Bank spokesperson said it will close these New Jersey branches:

  • 385 White Horse Pike, Atco
  • 177 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park
  • 418 Belmont Ave., Haledon
  • 230 Forsgate Drive, Jamesburg
  • 571 E. Bay Ave., Manahawkin
  • 232 Richmond Ave., Point Pleasant
  • 1100 Lake St., Ramsey
  • 4057 Asbury Ave., Tinton Falls

The branch reductions will trim the TD Bank branch number to 180. At an investor presentation in September, TD Bank discussed driving structural cost reduction and efficiency and said it identified $550 million to $650 million in pre-tax of expected annual cost savings from the 2025 restructuring program.

TD Bank has been streamlining its operation to try and adapt to changing customer banking behavior. The bank has said shrinking its footprint will enable it to reinvest in stores, expand ATM networks, and make further improvements to digital and mobile platforms. TD Bank announced five bank branch closures in March in Cedar Grove, Marlton, Ringwood, Raritan Township and Spring Lake Heights.

The company operates 2,154 retail locations in North America, including 1,100 of which are in the United States, placing it among the nation’s top 10 banks.

TD Bank has yet to disclose how many jobs will be affected by the closures. The bank company employs 28,817 workers across its U.S. retail operations.
