Field Station: Dinosaurs has found a new home in Atlantic City.
Showboat Resort announced that it has purchased the collection of over 30 life-size animatronic dinosaurs, with plans to create a new, dinosaur-themed attraction adjacent to the resort property.
The collection will be moving from Leonia’s Overpeck Park after 13 seasons and more than 1 million visitors. The deal ensures that the beloved prehistoric creatures will continue to operate along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Showboat plans to open the new attraction in the spring of 2026.
Field Station: Dinosaurs permanently closed in Leonia on Nov. 9.
“Knowing that our dinosaurs will live on and continue their mission of sparking curiosity and imagination is the perfect ending to our story,” said Guy Gsell, executive producer of Field Station: Dinosaurs. “We’re incredibly proud of the experience we created here in Leonia and excited to see it evolve in Atlantic City.”
