Bergen New Bridge Medical Center names Weiss as chief financial officer, vice president of finance

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center announced on Nov. 20 the promotion of Sandi Weiss to chief financial officer and vice president of finance.

In this new role, Weiss will lead the financial strategy and stewardship of New Jersey’s largest hospital, guiding its continued transformation and growth in an increasingly complex health care environment.

As CFO and vice president of finance, Weiss will oversee financial operations, budgeting, and strategic initiatives to ensure the continued growth and stability of the medical center as it expands its reach and services across the region.

Weiss joined Bergen New Bridge in 2020 as director of finance. Her innovative approach to fiscal management, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability earned her a promotion to executive director of finance, where Bridge said she helped strengthen the medical center’s financial foundation during a period of rapid growth and unprecedented industry change.

“Sandi is not only a talented financial strategist, but also a trusted leader who understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing safety net, not-for-profit health-care providers,” said Deborah Visconi, president and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “Her insight, integrity, and dedication have been instrumental to our success, and I’m thrilled to see her take on this expanded leadership role as we continue our transformational journey.”

Weiss has held senior leadership positions at Palisades Medical Center and North Fullerton Surgery Center with experience in budgeting, strategic planning, and capital management.
