Bergen New Bridge Medical Center’s LTC recognized as one of Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes

The Long-Term Care Division (LTC) at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, which is the largest licensed nursing home in New Jersey and one of only 6% to receive Joint Commission accreditation, has been recognized on Newsweek’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list.

This is the fourth time the Bergen New Bridge LTC Division has received this recognition.

The Best Nursing Homes 2026 ranking identifies the nation’s top 1,200 facilities. Facilities were evaluated on four pillars including performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations, and resident satisfaction, with performance data carrying an increased weight in 2026 to reflect the growing emphasis on clinical quality metrics.

Other updates this year include the addition of vaccination rates as new quality measures, the expansion of the ranking to cover 33 states across three size categories and an increase in the total number of facilities recognized.

“This recognition is a reflection of the exceptional, compassionate, high-quality care our team provides to our residents and their loved ones,” said Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “Our LTC Division is committed to uplifting the quality of life for our residents and I am incredibly proud of the work they do here every day.”

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center has been providing comprehensive, high-quality long term care services for more than 75 years. As a full service, accredited medical center, Bergen New Bridge provides a scope of services far exceeding those offered in a standard nursing home environment.

Highly trained and skilled staff provide nursing care 24 hours per day, seven days per week as well as access to specialized physicians on site with a focus on the individual needs of each of its residents.

The Medical Center also provides specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care as well as respite care services for caregivers. The LTC Division offers multicultural specialized care for the Korean, Muslim, and LGBTQ+ communities.
