Sikkema leads M&A Tax Due Diligence practice at EisnerAmper

Global business advisor EisnerAmper announced Dec. 2 that Jeremy Sikkema has joined the firm as a tax partner and the leader of the M&A Tax Due Diligence practice.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Sikkema advises private equity firms, corporate acquirers and family offices on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. He works closely with clients to develop tax-efficient structures, conduct due diligence and guide post-deal integration efforts that enhance value and manage risk.

“As the M&A tax due diligence landscape becomes increasingly complex, practitioners of Jeremy’s caliber are essential in order to meet clients’ growth strategies,” said Michael Laveman, EisnerAmper tax partner and managing partner of the firm’s Tax Practice. “We warmly welcome Jeremy and look forward to him growing this key practice area.”

Sikkema’s approach combines in-depth technical expertise with a practical understanding of complex deal dynamics, enabling clients to make informed decisions throughout the transaction lifecycle.

“With Jeremy on board, our tax due diligence capabilities have undergone a major upgrade, positioning us as a much stronger national player on both the buy- and sell-side diligence platforms,” said Jeffrey Kelson, co-leader of the firm’s National Tax Office.

Sikkema, a CPA, has a B.S. and an MSA in accounting from Western Michigan University as well as an MST from Grand Valley State University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
