Mandelbaum Barrett announced Dec. 3 that two partners have joined the firm in its Roseland headquarters. Ronald L. Davison has joined the firm’s elder law practice group and Matthew P. O’Malley has joined the litigation group.
Davison joins Mandelbaum Barrett from Starr, Gern, Davison & Rubin in Roseland where he was a partner.
Throughout his decades-long career, Davison has represented clients in both trials and appeals. He also has also served as a court-appointed estate administrator, receiver, guardianship attorney, and attorney-trustee, giving him a deep understanding of both the responsibilities and challenges faced by fiduciaries and families.
Since 2008, he also has served for many years as a volunteer mediator for the General Equity and Probate Parts of the Chancery Division of the Superior Court, and he previously was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court as Chair of both the District Ethics Committee and the District Fee Arbitration Committee.
“With more than 50 years of experience, Davison’s practice is focused on the intersection of elder law and litigation, helping families, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries resolve complex estate and trust issues,” said Richard I. Miller, a partner and chair of the Elder Law Practice Group. “His work representing clients in estate, trust, and guardianship matters, including disputes involving wills, fiduciaries, and asset protection, is a valuable and well-timed addition to our growing practice.”
O’Malley joins Mandelbaum Barrett from Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry in Roseland, where he was a partner. He focuses his practice on guiding clients through complex litigation involving insurance, professional liability, and workplace torts. O’Malley also serves as local counsel for national law firms, providing guidance on New Jersey practice and procedure in both state and federal courts, and advocating for clients as they navigate complex litigation.
“Matt has earned a well-known reputation for his thorough preparation, practical solutions, and skilled advocacy,” said Michael A. Saffer, co-chair of the firm’s litigation group. “He is a seasoned trial attorney, a great addition to our litigation department.”
