Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City announced Dec. 5 the appointment of Mary Sanchez-Alarcon as the university’s executive director, human resources.
Sanchez-Alarcon has spent the past 13 years focused on leading human resource transformations and strengthening mission-driven organizations across the non-profit sector, particularly in education and youth development.
In her most recent role as vice president of human resources for After School All-Stars, a national youth-serving organization, she built scalable human resources systems, led organizational redesign efforts, and supported executive leadership through periods of growth and change.
She brings experience across finance, operations and human resources, with particular expertise in HR operations, employee relation, and organizational development.
Sanchez-Alarcon says she is looking forward to contributing to a collaborative, inclusive and mission-centered campus culture that prioritizes psychological safety and an exceptional employee experience.
