Valley National Bank said Jan. 7 that it has donated more than $106,000 to eight educational institutions and related organizations in New Jersey and Florida, reinforcing its commitment to supporting educational programs, student success and community investment.
Valley Bank’s education-focused philanthropy is a key pillar of its corporate social responsibility program, designed to expand access to learning, strengthen local institutions, and help communities thrive. The grants support a range of programs and engagement including classroom resources, student enrichment programs, scholarships and district-wide educational initiatives.
“Education is the foundation of strong, thriving communities,” said Bernadette Mueller, executive vice president and head of corporate social responsibility at Valley Bank. “Valley is proud to support schools and education partners who are creating meaningful opportunities for students and educators and helping to shape the next generation of leaders.”
Valley’s donations will support the following educational institutions and related organizations: Foundation at NJIT, Newark; Morris Educational Foundation, Morristown; Ramapo College Foundation, Mahwah; CARE Elementary School, Miami, Fla.; Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology, Paterson; LEAD Charter School, Newark; Hillsborough Educational Foundation, Hillsborough; Passaic Board of Education, Passaic.
“Valley’s generosity directly fuels innovation in our classrooms, expands access to meaningful learning experiences, and opens doors for students who depend on scholarship support to pursue their dreams,” said Caroline Kincaid Godfrey, executive director of the Morris Educational Foundation. “Their support is more than a donation, it is an investment in possibility.”
